ABOUT KATHY

I started my Real Estate career in 1995. I have been with The Wells Group from the beginning. One of my favorite things is helping people to connect with what they want and need in properties; either in a home already built or in finding the perfect lot on which to build their dream home. I truly enjoy what I do for a living because it involves working with people and I am very much a people person.

I grew up in San Diego and lived there from 1950 until I moved to Durango in 1994. It was time to move from the big city and raise my two sons in beautiful Durango. I exchanged the ocean for the mountains. I still love the beach and that’s where I go for vacations. I went to school at San Diego State and worked in the restaurant business through college and then some, ending up in management; again a people business. I switched from all the water activities at the beach to water activities on the river. I love rafting, canoeing, tubing etc.

I believe in education and I think all real estate professionals should take as many real estate classes as they can. I have the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) and GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designations. I have been on the board of directors for the Durango Area Association of Realtors for eight years and served as director of The Community Service and Public Relations committees.

I am very involved in our community as well. I donate blood and set up blood donation drives. I collect for and walk for Relay for Life for The American Cancer Society. I have collected for Muscular Dystrophy, United Way, Project Merry Christmas, and many more.

I am truly blessed to live in this fabulous town of Durango.
